Our CAD design teams joined hands with the custom tool manufacturer to transform non-editable
PDF drawings into editable CAD files for a reducer gear assembly of a steel strapping machine. Currently, the PDF files available with the client did not allow making changes imitating from shop floor.
- Input 2D PDF drawings were studied in detail along with tooling capacity at the shop floor.
- The project team then began the development of 3D CAD models based on the 2D files step by step.
- Final assembly model, manufacturing and fabrication drawings along with BOMs and exploded isometric views of the assembly were shared with the client.
Comprehensive 3D CAD models with all detailed manufacturing information helped the client addressing manufacturing needs in a better manner with reduced turnaround time. The CAD conversion established a digital platform for all the designs of reducer gear assembly to facilitate design changes in future.
